Restore BMR R1soft
This guide should give you general guide about how to restore BMR r1soft.
Make sure the Bare Metal Restore is available on backup manager 🙂
- Configure the target server first.
- Configure RAID on target server so both target and source server have the same disk space.
- Boot target server using LiveCD r1soft, you can download on this link http://repo.r1soft.com/bm/
- Boot to liveCD (debian based) and configure networking so its pingable. (Assign available IP)
- Restart cdp-agent
- Configure backup manager
- Add target server machine on backup manager
- If you already follow #1 step, “Test Agent Connection” should not give you any errors
- Restore BMR from source server recovery points
- Open recovery points > choose ‘Bare Metal Restore’.
- Select target server machine
- Restore partition table and select and map it manually.
- After restore finished, restart target server and boot to OS.
- Unplug target server WAN to avoid IP conflict.
Note :
- For linux server, you need to restore swap partition if there is any
- May need to reconfigure target server network again
