Ubuntu 16.04 VPS Stuck on Rescue Disk?
The issue happened when you saw Ubuntu VPS with status DOWN on Nagios. This usually happened caused by the some reason the Ubuntu VPS got stuck into rescue disk. Actually is not a big deal. It is still unknown whether it might be due to Ubuntu distro bugs or broken image from our end.
What you can do is login to the VPS using VNC connection and do the fsck.
fsck /dev/sda1
After 5 minutes of check disk and fix some broken records, then reboot.
reboot
After reboot give some time for VPS to starting up the services first.
