How to solve failed backup R1soft:

Test Agent Connectivity

If result showing failed, check server see if :

  • port 1167 is opened
  • port 1167 not filtered by firewall
  • make sure cdp-agent is up and running
    systemctl status cdp-agent

Restart cdp-agent

First workaround is try to restart cdp-agent and try backup is running ok.

systemctl restart cdp-agent

Restart server – if it is Linux Server

If the error showing this :

Then you need to reboot server. Make sure to put an announcement to tech care and schedule with engineering team to reboot a server.

If server is a Windows

If the server is windows, then try to restart backup manager first. How to restart backup manager in windows?

  • Open services.msc from search
  • restart Server Backup Agent.

Try to backup again.

If it still keeps failing, then try to restart Volume Shadow Copy.

If it still keeps failing, reboot a server is last option.
