Install SSL mail.domain on cPanel

This guide will assist you how to install SSL on mail.domain. If you received ticket from billing / customer service and they asked you to install SSL on domain mail.domain, then it means customer wants to use mail.domain (IMAP/POP/SMTP) to be authenticated as SSL connection. It does not mean you install to https://mail.domain. So, watch carefully.

Install domain on cPanel

Billing / CS will forward list of certificates to us. Usually contains :

• crt file
• ca file
• ca-root
• ca-bundle

Login to customer cPanel via WHM and search for users who need SSL to be installed.

Search list users > impersonate it > search ssl > Access Certificates (CRT).

Upload the CRT file. Browse it. and upload it.

Then your SSL for mail.domain is installed.

 

Go to WHM and bind it into service.

Check list dovecot + Exim.

Install it.

Wait for few seconds and your ssl on mail.domain is installed. It is binded to mail service also. So customer can start using SSL on IMAP / POP / SMTP. You can also check first on this below. Replace mail.domain to your own.
