Windows Server Flickering Workaroud: Server Side

This guide will assist you how to deal customer Windows VPS that facing issue ie. flickering and how to deal it from server side. Before proceed further, please take a note that this workaround only for Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard / Datacentre edition.

Dislcaimer: There are 2 options in this guide.

First Option

First, login to cust Windows server by using vmunify or their own login or username that has Administrator level access.

Second, go to My Computer (This PC) > right click – Properties > Remote settings.

On system properties window, untickAllow connection only from computers running …“. Should be something like this :

Untick “Allow conections only from …”

Then Apply > OK

Make sure you kill the customer session first from Task Manager > Users > Sign Off and let customer try again.

Second Option

Let’s say first option is already proceed, and tested … but it does not working. Then what else we can help customer?

I came with a solution by offering classic start up that can be installed externally to cust Windows Server 2012. I haven’t testing yet but I saw exa id customer was using it and it is actually working somehow.

Don’t forget to notify customer and inform the Disclaimer that we are not guarantee anything since it is came from third party software and it is open source. Customer need to install it by themselves also.
