Install OS via IPMI using Virtual Storage

This tutorial will help you how to install OS from IPMI interface console by using Virtual Storage. This is very ease to use, because you can install or reinstall OS of Dedicated Server without enter NEX DC. This only applied for Exabytes Indonesia only.

Step 1

Set Virtual Storage by accessing Virtual Media > Virtual Storage

Step 2

Browse to ISO file and load the OS from current server. Check under Downloads folder, or C:\ or C:\ISO\ folder. Make sure the settings like this.
Don’t forget to click Plug In. Then OK.

Step 3

Reboot the server, by click Power Control > Set Power Reset.

Step 4

Press F11 before you enter BIOS. And select ATEN VIRTUAL CDROM.
If you can’t make it press F11, use Virtual Keyboard (Virtual Media > Virtuak Keyboard).

Step 5

Install OS ie. Centos 7 or Windows as desired. Wait for installation process to be done!
