Plesk: How to Fix MailBox

This guide will help you how to fix mailbox of Plesk that has issue such are below. Also, please take a note this usually used for VPS Linux (Signetique/Exabytes ID), even our shared hosting with Plesk might need this someday.

1) Unable to fetch email for one or more than 1 user(s) or we could say the mailbox is corrupted.
2) Repeated email from Webmail.
3) User tried to login but always asked for Password, even using correct password already.

Login to SSH

This command only available under SSH. Make sure you logged into SSH first.

Type It

For Plesk Onyx or newer version :

plesk repair mail <[email protected]>

For below version of Plesk Onyx :

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk --with-spam

The process may take a while ie. 3-5 minutes. After then  ask customer to try again.
