HOW TO RESTORE KVM FROM R1SOFT with BMR

1. you have to make sure that r1soft has successfully backup the VPS by login it. To access the r1soft, you go to Ezeelogin –> Servers –> backupkvm02.idcloudhosting.com

2. After that, Click the “Remote” icon :

3. Once you login to the r1soft, please verify the Data Recovery :

4. To be save, you may need to ask Johan to create new VPS and then restore it to that new VPS.

5. After new VPS has been created, please boot the new VPS with r1soft agent iso ( then click Mount ) and select the boot order :

6. Switch the IP address the new VPS with the old one by :
– on old VPS, add new IP address and then change the main IP address to that new IP address. After that you can remove the old primary IP address to new IP address
– on new VPS will be also same, change the main IP address to new IP so that both VPS can be switch it.

7. Go to VNC and click HTML5

8. Back to r1soft, you will see the Data Recovery list. Choose the date that customer want it.

9. Click Gear icon

10. Choose Bare Metal Restore

11. You will be asking some questions :

Introduction –> Next
Choose Filesystem –> leave it
Restore to Alternate Agent –> choose the agent
Restore Storage Configuration –> Use Existing Storage Configuration
Map Filesystems –> /dev/sda1
Restore options –> Reboot after restore

12. Once its done, please change back the boot order to 1 (Hardisk) 2 (CDRom) and also click unmount for r1soft agent iso

13. Click boot in order to boot up the VPS
